Coughlin Capital

Coughlin Capital, LLC is a family-owned and operated private investment firm founded in 2007 and based in San Rafael, California (with an additional presence in St. Louis, Missouri). The firm invests its own capital directly, does not raise outside funds from third parties, and focuses on lower middle-market logistics and supply-chain businesses alongside a secondary real-estate platform covering multi-family, industrial, and office properties. Coughlin Capital grew out of more than 60 years of family-owned and operated businesses originally based in Detroit, Michigan, and its team brings operational experience in logistics, transportation, international growth, and the build-out of scalable process-driven organizations. The firm is led by co-founder and Managing Partner Kevin Coughlin, and its portfolio has included ITS Logistics (exited 2021), TRT Intermodal, and Trigo Holdings, a provider of quality-assurance services to the automotive, aerospace, and heavy-transportation manufacturing industries.
