Direct Line Insurance Group plc is a British insurance company headquartered in Bromley, London. The company is one of the largest motor and home insurance providers in the United Kingdom, offering insurance products directly to consumers without intermediaries. Direct Line Group's brand portfolio includes Direct Line, Churchill, Privilege, and Green Flag, covering motor, home, travel, pet, and roadside assistance insurance. The company was originally part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group before being separated and listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2012. In 2024, Belgian insurance group Ageas completed its acquisition of Direct Line Group for approximately GBP 3.7 billion, taking the company private after more than a decade as a publicly listed entity.
