The MAC Group comprises of operating companies in the business sectors of: Banking, Insurance, Consumer Products, and Real estate, Logistics. Our group companies have operations in countries across the African continent. The group was founded in early in 1980's by Mr. Yogesh Manek, who is the present chairman; evolving from a heritage of traditional business lines which have been in existence for over a 100 years in Tanzania. Under his leadership the group has made remarkable progress in its areas of its business operations and is well known for its adherence to strong values and business ethics. The Group has pioneered companies in several sectors of national importance in Tanzania. Every MAC Group company or enterprise operates independently. Each of these companies has its own board of directors and shareholders, to whom it is answerable; while the group Corporate office is a decision-making body that defines and directs the business endeavors of the group. It is a forum at which broad policy issues relating to the growth of the companies are reviewed and the entry into new areas discussed. The Corporate Office also plays a key role in protecting and promoting the MAC Group brand and values. The Corporate Office also provides advisory services to the companies in the areas of human resources, finance, legal, and other functional areas as and when required. Apart from this, the Corporate Office from time to time, reviews the group’s business portfolios across business sectors. Going forward, MAC Group is focusing on new technologies and innovation to drive its business.
