The Meadows Foundation is a Dallas-based private family foundation and philanthropic grantmaker founded in 1948. It deploys capital primarily through grants to Texas nonprofits across arts and culture, civic affairs, education, environment, health, human services, water conservation, depression, homelessness, and postsecondary and educator initiatives, and has awarded more than $1.5 billion in grants and charitable distributions. Its endowment also allocates to diversified asset managers, including alternatives, making it more relevant as a foundation allocator or grantmaking prospect than a conventional startup equity investor.
