University of Alaska Foundation (UA Foundation) manages an endowment fund that is based in Fairbanks, Alaska. The endowment is administered by the University of Alaska Foundation (UA Foundation) on behalf of the university. Established in 1974, the mission of the foundation is to seek, secure, and steward philanthropic support to build excellence at the University of Alaska. The foundation manages consolidated endowment fund, which includes both endowment assets from gifts by donors over the years, as well as the university's land grant endowment. The assets of the fund are managed by the board of trustees.The University of Alaska Foundation's investment portfolio is valued at over $363.78 million, with investments in domestic and international equities, fixed income, private equities, real estate, hedge fund, and cash.
