University of Chicago Medical Center (UCMC) manages an endowment fund which is based in Chicago, Illinois. The university's endowment consists of individual donor restricted endowment funds and board-designated endowment funds for a variety of purposes plus the following where the assets have been designated for endowment: pledges receivable, split interest agreements and other net assets. The endowment is managed by the board of trustees.University of Chicago Medical Center Endowment's investment portfolio is valued at over $1.02 billion, with investments in private equity, real estate, natural resources, infrastructure, oil & gas, private debt, and hedge funds.
