Milestone is a private equity group that focuses on the small to middle-market companies that typically require equity in amounts ranging from $2 to $10 million in order to reach their medium-term goals. Milestone will also look at transactions in excess of $30 million on a case-by-case basis. Most of Milestone's transactions are structured as management buyouts or recapitalizations and the firm does not participate in tender offers or hostile acquisitions. Milestone is not subject to geographic constraints, but prefers investing in businesses located in the United States, with a heavy emphasis in Texas and the Southwest.
