The firm's $50 million of committed equity capital comes from the active partners and a small group of related outside entities. Guard Hill Holdings does not collect management fees from investors. The firm prefers to invest in corporate divestitures, turnaround situations, family owned companies and partner with lenders on workout opportunities. Guard Hill invests primarily in U.S.-based manufacturing companies with sales in the $50-$250 million range; current profitability is not required.
