Arj Wignaraja

Arj Wignaraja, formerly Managing Director at Stax, founded the Colombo, Sri Lanka office in 2005. Currently, he serves Stax as a Senior Advisor and continues to advise teams of consultants, analysts, and technical specialists who work directly or in conjunction with their U.S.-based colleagues to support Stax's client engagements around the world. Arj's expertise includes the Asia-Pacific region, where he advises corporate clients on market entry and expansion in high-growth segments such as education, financial services, and manufacturing, with a particular emphasis on data analytics and consumer-driven insights. Before establishing the Colombo office, Arj served as a director in Stax's Chicago office, where he worked with financial services clients on growth opportunities and competitive challenges, and evaluated investment opportunities for private equity clients. Arj came to Stax from The Boston Consulting Group, where he helped formulate business strategies for Fortune 500 clients in financial services and industrial goods. Arj holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a B.A. in Economics, with honors, from Princeton University.
