Guido Appenzeller

Dr. Guido Appenzeller served as the Chief Technology Strategy Officer, NSBU at VMware. He serves as Chief Product Officer at Yubico. He served as Co-Founder and CTO of Voltage Security. He Co-Founded the company & served as Chief Executive Officer at Big Switch Networks. Before co-founding Big Switch Networks, Dr. Appenzeller was an Entrepreneur in Residence with Morgenthaler Ventures while also a Consulting Assistant Professor at Stanford University in the Computer Systems Lab. Prior to joining Morgenthaler and his current role with Stanford, Dr. Appenzeller co-founded Voltage Security and served as a Chief Technology Officer. He also worked as an Associate at Kappa IT Ventures and for McKinsey & Company in their German office. Dr. Appenzeller holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University and his undergraduate degree in Physics magna cum laude from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany.
