Ignaciu Munoz serves as Junior Investment Vice President at Altra Investments. He is an Angel Investor. He is the Board Member of AUSA Soluciones Logsticas. He has ten years of experience in private equity, restructuring, corporate finance, and capital markets. Prior to joining Altra in 2012, Muoz worked in New York as a Senior Associate at Capital Bank Financial Corp. (NASDAQ:CBF), a bank holding company which raised approximately $900 million of private equity capital to buy distressed banks located in the Southeastern United States. While at Capital Bank Financial Corp., Muoz participated in seven acquisitions of financial institutions, deploying over $850 million of capital. Muoz also played a key role in the public listing of CBFs shares on the NASDAQ. Earlier in his career, Muoz worked for five years as an Associate in Bank of America Securities Latin America & Caribbean Institutional Fixed Income Group. In this capacity, he actively managed over $2 billion in client assets for institutional investors in the region which included central banks, hedge funds, investment banks and pension funds. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance from The University of Miami.
