Michael Caso is a Principal at Rosecliff Ventures. He is responsible for acquiring, reviewing, researching, and structuring new deal flow and investment opportunities for the fund. Prior to joining the Rosecliff team, Michael worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in their Sales and Trading Division. After spending time at BOA, he met Michael Murphy and the rest was history. Michael initially joined Mr. Murphys Investment firm, Rosecliff Capital, as an Investment Banker, where he focused on Mergers & Acquisitions, Equity Capital Markets, and Initial Public Offerings. Now, Michael joins Mr. Murphy's Venture Capital team as a manager to help launch, build, and expand the fund.
Aside from work, Michael is an avid face in the health and fitness industry. He dedicates a lot of his free time trying to inspire people to live a healthier life through diet, exercise, and cardio vascular activities. Michael is active in the startup community. He currently serves as an Adviser and Brand Ambassador for Nutrichef, a startup health food company. Michael is also a champion Chess player. Since he was nine years old he has competed in many tournaments throughout New York State.
Michael graduated from Fordham Universitys Gabelli School of Business in New York City, with a degree in Mathematics and Economics. While attending Fordham, he received multiple academic honors. Michael was honored with a four year academic scholarship. He served as chairman of the Economic Society and helped organize various volunteer projects across all of New York City. He plans on working towards his CFA and CFP designations later this year.
