Mike Tansey

Mike Tansey serves as Advisor at Jobson Healthcare Information. Tansey served as the Chief Executive Officer of onTargetjobs. With over 20 years of executive leadership experience, Mike Tansey ranks among the most accomplished and knowledgeable CEOs in the information industry. Prior to joining onTargetjobs, Tansey was president and chief executive officer of Jobson, a healthcare information and communication services provider, and two venture-backed, medical e-learning companies. Before returning to his entrepreneurial roots in 2004, Tansey worked for 12 years at Thomson Corporation. During the last five years of his tenure at Thomson he was a group CEO in the Scientific and Healthcare group where he oversaw the Institute of Scientific Information (ISI), Derwent and Current Drugs. He worked with the Warburg Pincus-backed management team that owned ISI prior to its Thomson acquisition in 1992. His background in the industry also includes eight years with Aspen Publishers, a regulatory publisher that became part of Wolters Kluwer. Tansey holds a B.A. from Stirling University and a degree in Post Graduate Studies from the University of Virginia.
