Paul Funk is the Founder & serves as President at Funk Software. He guides the company's course, directing the overall design, development, and marketing of its products. Prior to founding the company in 1982, he worked for vendors including Data General and Radix Systems, and worked as a consultant in modulation coding and error-correction coding for hard disk drives. Funk is the co-author of the EAP-TTLS WLAN security protocol which has been widely implemented by major wireless LAN equipment and security vendors. In 1998, he was awarded a patent for a password authentication technique that withstands a variety of cryptographic attacks. He has a Bachelor of Science in Humanities degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and did graduate work in English Literature at the University of Chicago. He serves as an Angel Investor.
