Ted Briscoe

Ted Briscoe served as Chief Executive Officer at Terra Biologics. He also serves as Managing Partner at Nidus Partners. He served as the Chief Executive Officer at X-tend Energy. He has more than 25 years of executive management experience in building and scaling information technology companies. He brings meaningful experience in leading market-driven organizations in both large and start-up companies, building management teams, raising capital and delivering investors a return on investment. He has extensive experience in building and managing high growth technology businesses. As CEO of TeraVista Systems, Briscoe led a team building tools for managing the supply chain for environmental commodities. Briscoe served as President and CEO of Vibe Solutions Group providing award-winning professional and consumer video communications solutions through OEM partners such as Comcast, Logitech and Time Warner. Prior to Vibe Solutions, Ted served as president and chief operating officer of Ask Jeeves. Joining the company in 1999, Briscoe's leadership helped propel Ask Jeeves from the 312th ranked Internet site to the 12th largest site on the Web and built the company into one of the most widely recognized Internet brands. Briscoe spent four years at Iomega as president of the Zip drive division where he was integral in leading the company's growth from a $140 million business to a nearly $2 billion industry leader. Briscoe was also responsible for driving Iomega's international presence by overseeing European operations and establishing Iomega's presence in the Asia Pacific region. Briscoe spent eight years at Apple Computer where he served as Assistant to the President of Apple USA, Director of Sales and Marketing for Apple's Personal Interactive Electronics Division and led sales efforts in building the K-12 and higher education business. Briscoe's career started at IBM, where he worked closely with the University of Missouri in the early integration of personal computers into the curriculum and developed some of the company's first high volume PC contracts. Ted's global business development experience includes negotiating licensing, manufacturing and distribution agreements in Asia, Europe and North America. He raised over $100mm in venture and private equity capital and is the holder of two patents. Briscoe hold a BA Degree in Economics from Westminster College in Fulton Missouri where he served on the Board of Trustees from 2002 - 2009.
