CommonAngels

Founded in 1998, CommonAngels is an angel group focused on making investments in early-stage information technology startups. CommonAngels invests solely in early stage digital media, mobile, software, SAAS, Internet-based, cloud, and other information technology related companies. The firm does not invest in life sciences, medical devices, energy production, or businesses that require a lot of capital ($5 - $10M) up-front before validating the concept. Beta-stage investments are typically around $1.5 million and seed investments range from $250,000 to $1 million. Since its founding, the firm has made over 40 investments and continues to look for opportunities in New England, NYC, and occasionally Eastern Canada.
